Ross Jutsum’s Visit to Cloudcroft

Sunday June 3rd Dr. Ross Jutsum will be at our church to conduct a special praise and worship service starting at 11 am.  The on Sunday evening at 5pm he will be giving a concert at Cloudcroft UMC with the entire community invited.

Dr. Jutsum is an accomplished pianist, singer, song writer, and recording artist.  Ross founded “State of the Heart” Ministries, an inter-denominational ministry of reconciliation and renewal of life worship, dedicated to building bridges in the Body of Christ.

After a 23 year career as a college and university music professor, Ross has, for the past 20 years, presented concerts and seminars in many and varied venues around the world, including over 1,000 churches of over 160 different denominations in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean,Western Europe, the Middle East, Central America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, and in nursing homes, retirement communities, hospitals, schools, and homeless shelters.

Ross serves as both a worship leader and guest speaker, weaving scripture, songs and testimony into an interactive message, engaging young and old alike. He particularly enjoys including children and teens, sharing bible story songs and have them participate actively.

Ross is a member of the Rotary Club of Pasadena, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association and the University Club. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas, a Masters of Arts in Piano degree from California State University in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor’s degree from Ambassador University.

Ross lives in Sierra Madre, California with his treasured wife of almost 40 years, Tammy. They have two daughters. Heidi lives in Connecticut with her husband Ryan, a professor at Yale University, and four-year-old Grace Victoria and twenty-month-old Gabriel Joseph. Younger daughter Lisa and her husband Jon are currently doing humanitarian work in Central Asia, and have fraternal twins, Evelyne Kathryn and Isaiah Frederick, now almost twenty months old.

What can we do to help?

As The United Methodist Church conferences from across the country offer support and await an invitation to assist the Early Response Teams and disaster coordinators in Harvey clean up and recovery, here’s

5 Things You Can Do:

1. Please continue to pray for those whose lives have been impacted by hurricane/tropical storm Harvey. Please also pray for the Early Response Teams, disaster coordinators, and many volunteers in The Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist ChurchLouisiana Conference of The United Methodist ChurchRío Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church and Central Texas Conference who are working tirelessly to provide relief after Harvey.

4. Donate only those items requested.
