Welcome to Our Place
Blessed! That isn’t a word that comes tripping lightly to my tongue, but there really isn’t any better way to describe how my entry into this church and this community feels. I have been waiting for 11 years for a mountain! So when Jane, our new district superintendent called and said Cloudcroft I started grinning and pretty much haven’t stopped grinning since… (Ok, so there was that moment when the sewage backed up in my tub and shower because a test plug had been left in…) And then I was told about a new parsonage. But who could have imagined it would be such an amazing home? When I came to visit in April and saw the sanctuary for the first time, I was overwhelmed at how beautiful it is, and to know that you built it just amazes me.
But what truly makes me feel blessed are the wonderful people that I have met! You have gone out of your way to make me feel so welcome! I can’t begin to tell you how much that means to me and how truly grateful I am to be in your midst. I am so eager to be in ministry with you, and to discover what God will do in us and among us and through us for the Kingdom.
I drive a bright yellow Escape, so whenever you see it parked at the church; please stop in for a visit and a cup of coffee so I can get to know you. I am most comfortable being called Eileen, if you want something more formal, Pastor Eileen will do.
The parsonage is now complete, and I’m beginning to add a few flowers here and there. Everyone is invited on October 14th at 2:00 pm to 4 Copper Canyon Ct, in Cloud Country West. We will have formal blessing, followed by some light refreshments, and lots of fellowship.
Again many thanks for the warm welcome you have extended to me.
Grace and Peace, your sister in Christ,
